We have a client in need of a Yard Worker/General Laborer.

About Our Client
Our client is a multimillion-dollar manufacturer that is family and employee owned with three locations across the US. As an industry leader in steel product manufacturing, this is a wonderful opportunity to work for a corporation that instills family culture in their daily operations. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure Safety First, Safety Always and meet or exceed Quality expectations.
  • Inspect equipment to be utilized prior to shift start.
  • Receive finished (painted) tanks via conveyor to unload.
  • Utilize forklift and/or telehandler to transport tanks from Unloading Station to Trailer.
  • Perform Quality Control. Visually inspect tanks for defects prior to loading.  Report defects to Supervisor.
  • Properly secure/load tanks onto trailer (flat-bed).
  • Maintain cleanliness of workstation and mobile equipment.

Experience:

  • Minimum of one year of General Labor experience (Loading, Unloading), preferred.
  • Experience in heavy industrial manufacturing, preferred.
  • Experience operating a forklift and Telehandler.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work in various environmental conditions (heat, humidity, cold).
  • Ability to record data accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Detail-oriented/attentive to detail to ensure safety and quality.
  • Ability to lift/move up to 60 lbs.
  • Ability to receive and follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with team members to achieve departmental goals and to improve operations.

Education and Certification Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Forklift Certification, preferred
