Supplier Quality Engineer
Our client is a rapidly growing assembler of automotive components looking to add a Supplier Quality Engineer to their team.

About the position:
The goal of the SQE is to develop and monitor the performance of suppliers to ensure they meet quality standards. Meet with suppliers to resolve quality issues on existing and new products. Assist in developing plans to improve supplier quality assurance. Will have light supervisory duties within supplier audit team.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Performs supplier system and process audits
· Coordinates, tracks and ensures completeness / timeliness of supplier PPAP packages.
· Monitors supplier processes to ensure quality product will be produced and shipped.
· Works with suppliers to develop, monitor and complete corrective actions.
· Leads resolution of quality issues.
· Communicates supplier issues and resolutions to the rest of the company.
· Develops suppliers knowledge and use of appropriate problem solving tools. · Participates in and supports launch team activities, including engineering reviews with the supplier.
EXPERIENCE:
· 4 year degree in a technical field; or equivalent experience, preferably with certification.
· Minimum of 3 years experience in automotive quality assurance.
· General understanding of AIAG, TS, QS and ISO standards, statistical process control (SPC), and blueprint reading.
Hours: 830am -5PM
Pay: 75-80k
