SHOP FOREMAN

We are looking for an experienced Shop Foreman to oversee the production team and multiple processes including, welding, coatings, safety, productivity, quality, personnel allocation, and shop cleanliness. The successful candidate will have experience with welding, fabrication, machine operation, blueprints, overhead cranes and general a knowledge of hydraulics and mechanical systems.

Job Functions

• Supervise welder/fabricators with varying levels of expertise in their field
• Planning and initiating fabrication processes
• Read and comprehend drawings & calculations and assign work accordingly
• Oversee maintenance and repair of all shop equipment and tools
• Interact with Mechanical Engineers and Designers on fabrication methods 
• Maintain and adhere to operational procedures and work instructions, follow work orders and assist with preparation of reports and appropriate documentation. 
• Lead an experienced team and provide guidance and assistance to employees.

Requirements

• Knowledgeable of applicable processes and standards covering welding, design, and fabrication
• Minimum of 5 years experience in a supervisory capacity
• Minimum 10 years of shop experience with a focus in welded steel fabrication
• Experience with shielded metal arc welding and flux-cored arc welding 
• Possess proven problem-solving skills and can manage multiple priorities simultaneously
• Ability to understand and carry out written and oral instructions
• Physical abilities include the use of arms, hands, and fingers to operate tools and various equipment. Standing, walking, moving, climbing, bending, crawling, reaching and handling, pushing and pulling

Shift: 1st (630am - 230pm)

Pay Rate: $38-40 per hour

Location: Garfield Hts. Ohio
