Job Functions

Receive packages - correctly log and tag each order daily

Make arrangements for pick-up by the carrier specified on customer's purchase order, which is conveyed to the shipping clerk by packing slip or via the customers shipping instructions

Efficiently package equipment and paperwork for each shipment

Serve as the liaison between clients and warehouse

Physically verify and communicate to the traffic department all orders that were not shipped on their scheduled ship date

Schedule all inbound and outbound deliveries, managing dates and times
-
Direct inbound deliveries and outbound shipments to the appropriate loading dock

Ensure all orders are accurate by double-checking math, customer notes, process shipping orders, pick tickets, and bills of lading

Generate labels using Labelview software

Schedule all FedEx Express/Ground and UPS shipments

Assist warehouse team with order correction and other order-related inquiries, etc.

Update end of month reports when applicable

Communicate to bulk office when to scale non-bulk shipments

Scan and verify orders into Image Quest software

Send all warehouse generated paperwork/tallies to the inventory team

File, answer phones, tend to the shipping office window, assist drivers with check-in, document shredding/disposal, and other clerical duties

Maintain a clean and organized workspace

Ensure all ISO documentation is current

Assist in completing ‘CAR’ reports and submitting processing information when problem issues occur with damaged products, lost products or other issues as assigned
Requirements
-
3 years of previous shipping experience
-
Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience with inventory control procedures

Strong ability to multitask and attention to detail

Able to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos

Must have a strong understanding of foundational math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division)

Must be familiar and comfortable using Internet software, inventory software, and Microsoft Office Suite
