Your Role:

As a Sales Representative, you will be responsible for sales activities, from lead generation through close.  In this role, you will coordinates local sales efforts with sales manager and overseas sales department in Japan.  In this position, you will work within the sales and support teams for the achievement of customer satisfaction, revenue generation, and long-term account goals in line with company vision and values.  As a Sales Representative, you will develop good relationships with customers and communicates effectively with plant staff.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Safety is the overriding priority in all aspects of this job.
  • Support Sales manager to create sales strategy to achieve the future business plan.
  • Support Sales manager to increase sales (for future business and business expansion).
  • Develop sales strategy for maintaining current/existing business.
  • Initiate project from receipt of RFQ to production start-up.
  • Quote and negotiate pricing and timing for RFQs.
  • List up and track RFQs and their results.
  • Work closely with overseas sales division in Japan on quotations, event/prototype parts production and timing.
  • Work closely with engineering department in Japan on product development.
  • Hold regular (monthly) video conference calls with Japan.
  • Coordinate and negotiate APRs (Annual Price Review) with customers.
  • Develop good relationships with customers (email and phone).
  • Coordinate prototype orders and track their history.
  • Follow up on production preparation with Production Control & Quality Departments.
  • Participate in customers' event activities.
  • Investigate market trends and analyze future directions.
  • Investigate and track customer trends (using APUs, M Schedules, etc.).
  • Support Product I Program transitions with current production engineering staff.
  • Support plant staff with major engineering/process changes as required.
  • Travel to customers (either driving or flying) as needed.
  • Be the overall “Window Contact” for all customers and forward received information, requests (such as surveys), etc. to proper departments or personnel as needed.
  • Collection of accounts receivable due to aging issue from customers
  • In cooperation with the PC department, we negotiate to reduce obsolescence parts of build out model and to compensate customers for obsolete inventory.

Reporting Relationships:

In this position you will report to the Sales Manager.

Internal / External Cooperation

  • Maintain contact with all customers in to ensure high levels of Customer Satisfaction.
  • Demonstrate ability to interact and cooperate with all company employees.

About You:  

  • Sales experience in automotive industry desirable
  • 4-year minimum college education
  • Computer knowledge in Microsoft applications
  • Organizational and communication skills.

Pay Rate: $49,000 - 51,000 per year
