Our client is looking for a Production Supervisor that will oversee the production team and supervise all shift production operations during their shift. This individual will be responsible for driving best practices and improve quality, productivity, and profitability.

About Our Client
Our client is a chemical company offering a wide variety of services to their clients, including liquid blending, powder blending, packaging, warehousing, fulfillment, and much more. They offer companies throughout the United States reduced logistic costs and fast delivery with several locations in Ohio, Texas, Tennessee, Pennsylvania, and California. This is a great opportunity to work for a national company right in the Cleveland area! 

Job Functions:

  • Supervise all shift production operations in the assigned area
  • Understand and comply with all Safety Rules, PPE Requirements, & Company policies and ensure compliance with direct reports
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment
  • Serve as the main point of contact for the site regarding emergencies or incidents
  • Conduct audits and inspections regarding safety and housekeeping program
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and other company programs
  • Assist with new hire orientation and training for production employees
  • Work professionally with peers while providing quality leadership and effective decision making
  • Assist in work instruction review and updating SOPs when necessary
  • Effectively manage labor hours to support company budgets and goals
  • Review daily production schedule at the start of shift and communicates daily tasks to team
  • Operate packaging, mixing, processing, loading/unloading, transfer, wastewater, RO/DI system and material handling (forklift) equipment, as necessary
  • Perform quality checks and verifies information is correct & instructions are being followed
  • Submit maintenance requests and track to completion to minimize machine downtime
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

Requirements:

  • College Degree preferred
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Forklift license preferred but not required
  • 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred 
  • Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs.
