Extrusion Take Off Associate  

 Full-Time / $18.76 Hourly +.50 Differential equaling $19.26/hr 6pm-6am/ 3rd shift / Chagrin Falls, OH

The Extrusion Take Off Associate will be a member of the powder and mill fed extrusion team and work on lines to help make wall bases, moldings, nosings, pads, treads, stringers, risers, and other products required by customer schedules and needs. 


About Our Client

Our client is a sister company to one of the largest flooring manufacturers in the area delivering a broad portfolio of flooring products for all kinds of facilities from retail to industrial clients. This is a great opportunity to work for a large corporation in your very own backyard. 


Job Functions:

  • Perform work as a team with other Take Off associates, Mill Operators, and Extrusion Operators
  • Assure finished product quality by visual alertness to surface defects, measuring dimensions and color check or savings samples for color checking
  • Record production counts, scrap, downtime, etc. on forms and computer as required
  • Verify that package labels are accurate and correct
  • Package and label the final product according to process specifications 
  • Assemble boxes
  • Change dies
  • Operate and set cutter according to process specifications 
  • Perform cleaning, inspection, lubrication, and tightening (CILT) to properly maintain equipment per WCM standards
  • Move downstream equipment in and out as required by customer schedules 
  • Give breaks to team members
  • Train new employees 
  • Perform additional duties required by the Collective Bargaining Agreement for customers 
  • Support continuous improvement process including regular use of World Class Manufacturing (WCM) tools
  • Maintain a safe, clean and organized work environment
  • Comply with Safety and Environmental standards

Requirements:

  • Must be computer literate and be able to input data into the Tarkett SAP system 
  • High School GED or equivalent
  • Respectful team player
  • Great communication skills 
  • Must be available to work overtime hours as required 
  • Mechanical aptitude 
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. 
  • Must be able to work in environments that could reach up to 100 degrees Fahrenheit
