Press Operator

Our client is seeking detail-oriented Press Operators that are focused on quality and safety to join their team. The Press Operator will run CNC machines to cut and shape plastic and metal into component parts that will help with the assembly of their products. 

About Our Client
Our client is a million-dollar metal manufacturer located in the heart of Cleveland, Ohio. They pride themselves on providing high-quality products and delivering them through high-volume production with a robust manufacturability program that enables them to be one of the most cost-effective metal producers in the area. 

Job Functions
The Press Operator will work closely with other machine operators in the facility. Some of their duties include:   

  • Bolt die into press, enter all control parameters, abd make all adjustments to obtain first part(s)
  • Perform troubleshooting to tooling and equipment
  • Operate automatic presses to trim, punch, notch, shape or draw bars, blanks or continuous coils of metal in die

Work Schedule: 

  • 1st shift: 6/6:30 AM - 2/2:30 PM 
  • 2nd shift: 2/2:30 PM - 10/10:30 PM 

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • 2 - 4 years of Press Operator experience
  • Must be physically able to be on feet during the shift, and exert effort (i.e., lift, bend, pull functions)
  • Mechanical aptitude 
  • Self-starter who will use time efficiently, maintain productivity and be dependable
  • Ability to communicate, perform job duties and read/comprehend in English
  • Thorough and detail-oriented
  • Experience in manufacturing of at least one year preferred but not required
