Your Role:

As a Plant Accountant, you will analyze financial information and prepare financial reports to determine or maintain record of assets, liabilities, profit and lox, tax liability, or other financial activities within the organization.

Your Responsibilities:

• Work with currency exchange rates to correctly allocate and enter invoices from Japan in AP.
• Enter Yen/Dollar invoices for items purchased from Japan, along with boat purchases through Broker.
• Assist in preparing the financial data that would be required for the purpose of planning and forecasting.
• Assist in the preparation of month end and year-end closing procedures.
• Reconcile cash items
• Reconcile Balance Sheet and Profit Loss Statement
• Assist in the process of budgeting and all procedures that help in developing departmental budgets.
• Prepare and post journal entries to the General Ledger.
• Assist in collecting and preparing items for year-end audits.
• Assist in managing month end and year-end inventory procedures.
• Appraise, evaluate, and inventory real property and equipment, recording information such as the description, value, and
• location of property.
• Manage fixed assets and depreciation appropriately, CIP management.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
• Work with other departments as needed.

Reporting Relationships:

In this position you will report to the Assistant Accounting Manager.

Position Requirements:

About You:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance.
• Ability to efficiently use Microsoft WORD and EXCEL.
• Understand timing cutoffs to book items in correct month/year.
• ERP system knowledge highly recommended.
• Ability to work with basic math including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing.
• Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, and percentages to practical situations.
• Ability to solve problems, interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
