We have a client in need of a driven and hard-working salesperson to play a hands-on role in growing their business within the Akron/Canton area. This person will be responsible for generating new business and servicing existing accounts while communicating with the District Sales Manager and strategizing other branch staff on a regular basis. 

About Our Client
Our client is a well-established national electrical distributor and wire harness manufacturer for MRO and OEM industries servicing fleet operations, transportation, local and state government, industrial, and manufacturing clients. They supply full lines of terminals, wire, electrical components, fasteners, lighting, safety products, and hydraulic power fittings and hose. This is a great opportunity to play an essential role in growing a business in your own neighborhood. 

Job Functions

  • Make 15 to 20 calls a day, often servicing customers directly from their stocked vehicle 
  • Visit client and prospecting sites on the road and in the field every day, but rarely need to spend the night away from home
  • Maintain relationships with mechanics, shop foreman, engineers, corporate purchasing departments, and business owners on a daily basis
  • Service existing accounts within assigned territory
  • Develop new accounts within assigned territory
  • Follow-up on sales leads provided by Management
  • Develop and improve your territory and routes
  • Monitor collections on monthly basis with the Accounts Receivable Department
  • Work trade shows as determined by Management
  • Maintain personal inventory including rotating all stock and keeping all stock in saleable condition
  • Check email and voicemail with the appropriate frequency to maintain normal business flow

Requirements

  • Travel to client sites on a daily basis
  • 1-2 years of business development/sales experience 
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Associates or Bachelors degree preferred but not required 
  • Excellent communication and sales skills 
  • Good computer skills
  • Clean driving record
