About Our Client: Known for their integrity and attention to detail, our manufacturing client has been in business nearly fifty years and is still family-owned.
 
Reporting Relationship: Group Leader or Department Supervisor
Work Schedule: 40 hours per week + any mandatory overtime set by Supervision
 
Job Functions:
  • Weld components for hydraulic cylinders, rods and tubes
  • Keep welding spatter to a minimum, using spat guards and/or prohibitors (and remove with manual or power equipment as necessary)
  • Monitor and correct weld defects (cold lap, porosity, undercut, etc.)
  • Complete routing sheets according to next required process
  • Direct part overruns to correct location(s)
  • Sets up tack fixtures according to production standards
  • Analyze problems common to welding and identify the root cause
  • Measure components and assemble to verify conformance to the print (i.e., tape measure, scale, caliper)

Ideal Candidate Qualities & Experience
  • Ability to perform minor data entry on computer
  • Physically able to lift up to 70 pounds
  • Ability to read and interpret sketches and prints
  • Welding experience
  • Possess working knowledge of gases and power sources used in the welding process
  • Habits of good attendance and punctuality are an expectation
