We have a direct hire opportunity for a client that is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join their team. This person will be responsible for all Process development and quality aspects of product within the company, and for providing technical support to the various business units. The Mechanical Engineer reports directly to the Engineering Manager.

Job Functions
  • Support production departments by implementing Continuous improvement projects and providing engineering support for daily manufacturing activities
  • Support the specification, procurement, installation, setup, and validation of equipment necessary to introduce new projects to the manufacturing lines (processes and equipment)
  • Specify product specifications with product and process knowledge
  • Initiate and assist with Validation activities like FAT, IQ, OQ, PQ etc.
  • Initiate and conduct engineering studies/projects for new processes, process changes in order to improve safety in manufacturing, improve product quality and uniformity, and increase production efficiency and decrease standard costs
  • Conduct Failure Investigations (Root Cause Analyses) and implement solutions (corrective and preventive actions) that solve manufacturing and product problems
  • Assist in the development of training and provide training to production personnel during new technology transfer
Requirements
  • MUST be a US Citizen and NOT require sponsorship
  • 2-5+ years prior experience- Engineering role
  • Prior experience in medical manufacturing would be a plus.
  • Experience in plastics manufacturing and desigining tooling.
  • AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent component design knowledge. Must be able to read product-based drawings, mechanical and technical drawings
  • Experience  in use of one or more of these software tools (i.e. Solid Works, PDMWorks, Solid Edge, MS Project, Project Scheduler, and FEA Software such as COSMOS, Pro-E, and AutoCAD etc.) is required
  • Technical Degree in industry related technical discipline
