We have a client in need of an experienced leader to oversee their manufacturing operations as a Manufacturing Manager in Valley City, Ohio. The ideal candidate will have experience working in the automotive industry and/or metal forming as well as experience in managing a large team of over 100 employees.

Job Functions

• Plan, develop, organize, implement, direct, and evaluate the performance of Manufacturing.
• Provide expert input concerning strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats within Manufacturing.
• Communicate and implement the departmental mission, scope, objectives, processes, RACI's, and job descriptions, and ensure that all employees understand and fulfill their individual roles.
• Develop the maturity of the Manufacturing department in the subjects of Compliance, Quality, 5s, and Productivity by implementing maturity roadmaps, and ensuring Personnel, Processes, and Conditions adhere to the roadmap.
• Build a culture of excellence focused on safety, quality, employee development, and achievement of metrics.
• Achieve departmental budgets.
• Assist in recruiting, hiring, training, and retaining of all departmental personnel. Develop, motivate, and train subordinates. 
• Manage all Production Supervisors.
• Conduct Layered Process Audits.
• Lead RC/CA for quality issues.
• Accountable for the creation of all Manufacturing related work instructions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related major is required
• 5+ years of management experience in automotive or metal forming
• Thorough understanding of manufacturing operations
• Familiarity with information systems terms and general knowledge of applications
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Interpret technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with abstract and concrete variables.
• Knowledge of MS Office, HRIS, ERP, and other related software applications
