Observe and troubleshoot operating machines or equipment to diagnose malfunction and determine need for adjustment or repair

Dismantle machine using hand tools or power tools, to examine parts for defect or to remove defective part, and replace when necessary

Assemble and test machines to verify correction of malfunction

Maintain and lubricate machine tools and equipment

May weld and fabricate parts using appropriate equipment (i.e., welding, shears, brake, etc.)

May repair or replace faulty wiring, switches, relays or controls

Work with department division leader to complete building and equipment maintenance projects as necessary

Assist in all aspects of equipment and/or facilities maintenance as assigned (i.e., set-up, preventative maintenance, facilities, etc.)

Inspect building, grounds, and machines to insure they are in good operating condition.

Replace light bulbs, repair/replaces ballasts, light switches and receptacles if needed
-
Grease and oil motors and pumps, tighten and replace belts
