Reporting Relationship: Maintenance Supervisor
Work Schedule: Full-Time
 
Job Functions
  • Observe and troubleshoot operating machines or equipment to diagnose malfunction and determine need for adjustment or repair
  • Dismantle machine using hand tools or power tools, to examine parts for defect or to remove defective part, and replace when necessary
  • Assemble and test machines to verify correction of malfunction
  • Maintain and lubricate machine tools and equipment
  • May weld and fabricate parts using appropriate equipment (i.e., welding, shears, brake, etc.)
  • May repair or replace faulty wiring, switches, relays or controls
  • Work with department division leader to complete building and equipment maintenance projects as necessary
  • Assist in all aspects of equipment and/or facilities maintenance as assigned (i.e., set-up, preventative maintenance, facilities, etc.)
  • Inspect building, grounds, and machines to insure they are in good operating condition.
  • Replace light bulbs, repair/replaces ballasts, light switches and receptacles if needed
  • Grease and oil motors and pumps, tighten and replace belts
 
Ideal Candidate Qualities & Experience
  • Experience in a variety of maintenance duties
  • Welding and electrical experience preferred
  • Knowledge of PLC maintenance
  • General mechanical aptitude
  • Prior experience overseeing equipment and/or building and grounds
  • Habits of good attendance and punctuality are an expectation
  • Ideal candidate is a self-starter - will use time efficiently, maintain productivity and be dependable
  • Ability to communicate, perform job duties and read/comprehend in English
