Maintenance Director
Full-Time / $60,000 - $80,000 annually / Cleveland, OH

We have a client in need of an experienced Maintenance Director to oversee a team in one of their high rise buildings. This person will wear many hats that involve duties with management, maintenance labor, administrative tasks, and establishing goals.

Our client is one of the largest property management groups in the Cleveland area, offering housing and building management services for residential, senior, retail, and commercial properties. This is a wonderful opportunity to work for a fast-growing company and gain reputable experience. 

Job Functions:
This position requires previous experience in managing a maintenance staff and managing an apartment building.

  • Heavy administrative/reporting 
  • Manage the day-to-day building maintenance
  • Supervise maintenance staff 
    • Scheduling, coordinating, evaluating staff
    • Maintain a basic preventative maintenance schedule
    • Maintain monthly reports for maintenance managers
  • Respond to emergency maintenance calls
  • Maintain facility preventative maintenance program
  • Develop and train maintenance managers and technicians
  • Performing all required preventive maintenance tasks
  • Ensure routine performance of preventative maintenance
  • Carry out an established preventative maintenance program
  • Evaluate maintenance related costs and expenses
  • Create preventative maintenance schedule for all properties
  • Ensure the maintenance needs of the facility are being met

Requirements:

  • Must have experience working in high rise buildings
  • Must have a solid knowledge of building maintenance: plumbing, carpentry, electrical, and any other routine building maintenance
  • Must have strong computer skills
  • Professionalism with corporate office atmosphere and communicating with vendors, contractors, banks, residents, and employees
  • 3 years of experience in building maintenance 
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Excellent communication skills 
  • Team player
