Our client is looking for experienced and detail-oriented Machine Operators to join their team. This person will monitor and operate various equipment to ensure quality production standards are being met and there is little to no unplanned downtime. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working as a Machine Operator, enjoy working in a team environment, and can easily multitask. 

Job Functions

  • Understand and follow work instructions
  • Inspect parts for defects
  • Load and unload parts
  • Change tools as required
  • Monitor machine operations to detect defects or machine malfunctions
  • Adjust machine as needed to maintain tolerances
  • Measure and inspect parts per work instruction
  • Data Entry and paperwork – Ensure complete and accurate records
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED 
  • Must be able to stand the majority of scheduled shifts as well as regularly bend, twist, stoop, crouch, reach, etc. 
  • Experience using hand-measurement tools; micrometer, caliper, and dial indicator is preferred
  • Must be able to read, write and follow written and verbal instructions
  • Basic math skills
  • Solid mechanical aptitude required
  • Experience reading blueprints a plus
  • Must be able to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to make necessary machine adjustments when out of tolerance
  • Ability to learn and run multiple machines with a high level of efficiency
  • Basic machine knowledge
  • Lift truck experience helpful
  • Ability to move or lift 20 to 135 pounds
  • Ability to stand for 8 hours
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Good attendance record
