Our client is looking for experienced and detail-oriented Machine Operators to join their fast-paced team. This position will require working with various machines and play a hands-on role in the shipping and receiving for a global company.

Job Functions:

The main responsibility for this opportunity is to operate finishing equipment for the process and preparation of shipment of custom plastic profiles. Additionally, this job requires Machine Operators to: 

  • Service, repair, and operate finishing equipment
  • Initiate line set up and changeovers that follow the established schedule
  • Package finished goods to meet specifications
  • Complete detailed reports for all online Quality Control and production data 
  • Perform various mechanical and physical testing required related to quality assurance and specifications
    • Must be able to use calipers and other measuring equipment
  • Maintain and repair equipment, tools and work area as scheduled or as needed
  • Maintain order and cleanliness in all work areas through 5S and LEAN manufacturing methods
  • Communicate and cooperate with fellow employees to maintain quality, operational efficiency, and safety metrics

Requirements:

  • Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel preferred
  • Mechanical background
  • Experience working with winding and packaging equipment
  • Tow motor experience
  • Mathematical aptitude
  • Must be able to withstand frequent walking, standing, and lifting
  • 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred but not necessary
  • Experience with quality control (ISO experience preferred)
  • Prior participation in a Six Sigma or Lean Project a plus
