We have a direct-hire opportunity for a client on the east side of Cleveland who is in need of a Foundry Associate to play an important role in the daily operations and production of their alloy products. They are considering both experienced and entry-level candidates to join their team and only require that each individual has the capabilities to work effectively in their production facility by having a mechanical mindset and great work ethic. 

About Our Client
Our client is an international manufacturer of high-precision, geometrically complex aerospace & defense components and subassemblies. They specialize in directionally solidified/single crystal castings, investment castings, dry sand, green sand and permanent mold and offer in-house services like rapid prototyping, stem drilling, tool construction, machining, ancillary processing, painting, coating, kitting and assembly. 

Job Functions
  • Operate tow motor to move alloy to furnace from the crib and load molds into preheat ovens
  • Load alloy charges onto and into the furnace
  • Load molds into preheat ovens
  • Unload molds from oven at 2100 degrees; 15-60 lbs
  • Place molds on carts to cool
  • Unload grates
  • Load molds into casting units
  • Unload molds filled with molten metal
  • Perform basic maintenance around the furnace
  • Help maintain machines when problems occur
  • Perform 6S duties of furnace and foundry
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures with an emphasis on safety
  • Support other foundry operators as needed
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent 
  • No prior production experience is necessary 
  • Detail-oriented with an emphasis on accuracy 
  • Mechanically inclined 
  • Team oriented with a positive attitude and timely attendance
