About Our Client: Known for their integrity and attention to detail, our manufacturing client has been in business nearly fifty years and is still family-owned.
 
Reporting Relationship: Plating Lead or Shift Supervisor
Work Schedule: 40 hours per week + overtime as required
 
Job Functions:
  • Read blueprints and job travelers for part specifications, such as dimensioning for chrome depth
  • Remove holes and defects in rods using automatics and hand and bader buffers
  • Observe operation and regulate tanks by making adjustments to rectifiers and tank time
  • Perform accurate and timely inspections
  • Use the chrome and thickness gages to monitor chrome depth
  • Identify and separate all non-conforming parts
  • Produce parts at a rate that meets or exceeds production standards
  • Perform all secondary operations and inspections, including deburring and cleaning all parts produced
  • Accurately count and pack finished parts neatly for transport to their next work station
  • Keep equipment and work area clean
  • Handle all hazardous materials in a safe manner and disposal of these materials in accordance to OSHA regulations and RMT, Inc. safety rules and policies
 
Ideal Candidate Qualities & Experience
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Ability to take measurements to verify part conformance to the print
  • Basic mechanical aptitude with the various types of tools used in the plating process
  • Working understanding of basic math principles
  • Ability to handle minor troubleshooting
  • Physical ability to lift up to 70 lbs
  • Hazmat experience a plus
  • Ideal candidate is a self-starter - will use time efficiently, maintain productivity and be dependable
  • Ability to communicate, perform job duties and read/comprehend in English
