We have a direct hire opportunity for a client in need of an experienced Electrician to join their team. This person will be responsible for installing and repairing complex electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems working on industrial equipment throughout their facility. The ideal candidate is someone knowledgeable and experienced in working with mechanical stamping presses or other heavy industrial machinery.

Our client is a diverse manufacturing company creating parts and products for clients in automotive, beverage, steel, and other heavy industries. Focusing on stamping, forging, and steelmaking products our client is a major supplier throughout the United States. 

Job Functions
  • Assemble, repair, and build electrical equipment from component parts in accordance with engineering schematics, standard operating procedures, to customer’s specifications
  • Read, interpret and follow engineering schematics/blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bill of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products
  • Plan and install rigid conduit, wiring, hook-up disconnects, switches, push buttons, circuit panels, breakers, suppressors, transformers, and wire terminations
  • Install, maintain, test, evaluate, and repair various electrical components and systems including 480/120VAC and 24VDC voltage automation systems and motor control circuits
  • Maintain and troubleshoot PLC sensors
  • Assist in maintenance and/or general company duties as required
  • Safely and properly use electrical testing equipment
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; applicable trade school preferred
  • 3-5 years minimum of skilled trades or like experience with mechanical stamping presses or other heavy industrial machinery preferred
  • Troubleshoot machines to diagnose electrical issues including motor controls, sensors, relays and PLCs.
  • Understanding of electrical codes including knowledge of pulling wire, electrical components, switches, high voltage, and control centers
  • Work with industrial controllers, motors, transducers, and sensors in an industrial metal forming environment
