We have a direct hire opportunity for a client in need of an experienced Electrical Engineer to join their team. This person will design, assemble, program, test, and troubleshoot custom equipment used in the manufacturing of company products.

About Our Client
Our client is known for being one of North America’s largest manufacturers of metal products serving clients in demanding industrial environments such as steel mills, chemical plants, oil refineries, power plants, and paper mills. With headquarters in Cleveland OH and regional facilities in Houston TX, Atlanta GA, and Reno NV, their facilities span over 450,000 square feet of manufacturing, engineering, and sales space.

Job Functions
  • Design, document, and implement basic machine controls
  • Troubleshoot and repair basic equipment and controls
  • Verify safe reliable machine operation
  • Evaluate and source cost effective replacement parts
  • Create and edit programs for PLCs, HMIs, and Motion Controllers
  • Estimate completion date for assigned project(s)
  • Layout, assemble, and wire panels and controls
  • Complete assigned projects with minimal supervision
  • Provide technical guidance to Electrical Technician I
  • Handle confidential information on a regular basis
  • Perform other duties as directed by the Machine Engineering Supervisor and/or the Lead Electrical Engineer
Requirements
  • Associates or Bachelors in Electrical Engineering
  • 5+ years of experience in the field of electrical
  • Familiar with programming PLCs, HMIs, drives, and motion controls
  • This is a hands on position and will be a mix of working with technicians and millwrights in addition to design work
  • Electrical design and troubleshooting skills
  • The ability to read, create, and evaluate electrical schematics
  • Advanced math skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work flexible hours and overtime as required
  • Ability to use a computer and software as required
