Continuous Improvement (CI) / Lean Champion

About Our Client: Manufacturer based in northwestern Ohio, with multiple facilities around the US and continuing to grow. They are the leading producer of the steel product they manufacture.
Position Summary: Looking for a manufacturing professional to identify key initiatives that will improve safety and quality, reduce costs, reduce cycle time or improve customer experience.
Responsibilities include:

Lead and direct cross-functional teams in both Lean and Kaizen project execution

Apply Lean principles to the organization - i.e., Lean Thinking, Voice of the Customer, Six-Sigma, Value Stream Mapping, 5-S, Theory of Constraints, RCA/Problem Solving, Waste Identification/Value Enhancement, 3P Cell Design, TPM, Kanban, etc.

Analyze and value opportunities for prioritization and ROI as well as guide and plan actions around safety, quality, people and productivity initiatives

Serve as the expert on Lean, Six Sigma and overall continuous improvement (CI) concepts; teach, train and equip team members as necessary

10-25% travel to support the other two locations
Ideal Candidate Qualities & Experience:

​Bachelor's Degree in a related field (i.e., Business, Engineering, etc.)

3+ years of experience in driving Lean Manufacturing and Six-Sigma initiatives with measurable results

Prior leadership role in a manufacturing environment

Lean/Six Sigma Black Belt or Lean Tool Champion credentials

Strong leadership, interpersonal and verbal communication skills

Ability to multi-task, self-manage, and work independently

Strong statistical skills with knowledge of Minitab a plus

Outstanding organizational and prioritization skills
