We have a client looking for a CNC Machinist to join their team. This person will be responsible for producing machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment and supplies.
Job Functions
Understand and follow work instructions
Inspect parts for defects
Load and unload parts
Change tools as required
Monitor machine operations to detect defects or machine malfunctions
Adjust machine as needed to maintain tolerances
Measure and inspect parts per work instruction
Data Entry and paperwork; Ensure complete and accurate records
Ability to effectively and efficiently operate a minimum of six (6) different work cells
Ability to complete setup and/or change over
Replace tool holders
Adjust spline racks
Requirements
High School diploma or GED
Associates degree or Trade School graduate with training in a technical discipline preferred
Ability to read and understand the blueprint of parts and spec sheets
Ability to inspect parts using a scale, calipers, micrometers, and indicators and record reading in-process inspection sheets
Ability to calibrate various indicator and digital gages
Ability to change tools and make adjustments to bring dimensions into print tolerance
Ability to read, write and follow written and verbal instructions
Solid mechanical aptitude required
Must be able to work effectively in a team environment
Immediate openings on 1st, 2nd and 3rd shifts
