We have a direct hire opportunity with a client that needs an experienced CNC Machinist to join their team. This person will be responsible for producing machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment and supplies.

Job Functions
  • Responsible for set up and operation of Large CNC equipment
  • Perform start ups, shut downs, and loading material into machines
  • Ability to edit on Machines (Programming a plus)
  • Complete changes, adjustments and set ups to tooling and fixtures
  • nspect parts according to quality standards using micrometers, calipers and gauges
  • Recognize and report machine malfunctions to supervisor
  • Set-up parts process and machine as required
  • Perform daily, semi-annual and annual machine maintenance
  • Correct problems in set-up tooling and machining process
  • Make suggestions to improve machining operations
  • Maneuver around machine including standing, bending, stretching and walking
  • Repair, replace and modify equipment as needed
  • Read off blueprints
  • Documentation and upkeep of records and forms
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of manufacturing experience on large CNC machines 
  • High School Diploma
