Burn Table Operator
Our client, a privately-owned manufacturer, is looking for a Burn Table Operator to perform general machine predictive maintenance and serve as the responsible party for the burning of material to specs as defined on a job order.
About Our Client: Known for metal design, manufacturing and custom fabrication services in the following spaces: architectural, bridges, environmental, industrial, parks & rec and public transportation.
- Responsible for burning various grating products as defined by the job orders
- Efficient operation of the numerically controlled burning machine by challenging the capabilities of the machine and maximizing the utilization of the material consumed
- Perform regular predictive maintenance of the equipment to ensure maximum up‐time
- Must be comfortable standing, walking, performing repetitive movement tasks, pushing/pulling grating material for long periods of time, and must be physically able to lift or move 50-75 pounds
High School diploma or equivalent
At least one year of working experience with a Steel or Aluminum manufacturer required
Prior fabrication experience such as crane operation, metal processing, and material handling equipment experience
One year of experience working with overhead cranes and forklifts
Must be able to read and interpret documents such as travelers and various procedures and instructions
Must be able to perform basic math principles without the use of a calculator, and mathematical operations of whole numbers and fractions in both standard and metric units of measurements
